the weather has finally cooled down to the point that it's bearable to survive without the a/c... so i went to the bestbuy-like store downstairs to look for a floor fan... i looked around, only saw a few dirty samples on the showroom floor. i asked the sales people and they looked at me funny. they said "it's the end of the summer season so we don't have many models left" and looked at me thinking "and you just started looking for a fan now?"
i left the store... empty handed that night...
and now, i'm enjoying my late summer night in my comfy air conditioned living room... yup, i'm the bastard american that uses up all the resources and pollutes the world. :)

we were looking for a fan this weekend and only found space heaters. it was ridiculously unbearable since our apt's central a/c turned to heat (by law), and the ambient was in the 80s with no wind. so we went shopping instead :P
